This permanent installation is part of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, and has three main areas of focus: Avian Research, the Marsh Machine and by extension, the Living Stream. Although the exhibits are designed for the general public, the exhibit content supports the educational programs conducted at the facility.
Visitors are introduced to biological studies conducted at the Reserve. Emphasis on the associated science also highlights the beauty of the natural world. From an interactive database showcasing over 200 species of regional birds, to a replica stream of live macroinvertebrates and vertebrates, these exhibits provide interactivity to engage visitors on many sensory levels.
