The Carnegie Museum of Art engaged Bally Exhibit early in the development process of the new Ailsa Mellon Bruce Galleries. The gallery displays over 550 objects from the museum’s decorative arts and design collection, spanning from the 1740’s to the present. These chronological displays of artifacts include simulated period settings to enhance contextual understanding.
Along with an extensive exploration of interior architectural color palettes, conceptual mural development and the design of donor signage, Bally Exhibit also developed a comprehensive labeling standard throughout each gallery.
